The Large, 40 cm Refractor
The large 40 cm refractor was used independently, as the main telescope for the Polarimetric study of the Planets, of the Moon and the Solar System, until 2000.
Polarimeter was a high-precision instrument (at that time), developed and manufactured at the Abastumani Observatory.
Nowadays, the 40 cm large refractor is in working condition and functions as a museum exhibit - at the same time as main observation device for tourists.
